"I am writing to tell you of the excellent work that Delmy and her team (Manuel Fajardo, Jose Montoya, and Claribel Ochoa) did after the devastating fire we had in our garage recently. They were extremely professional and spent many hours sifting through years and years of scrapbooks, tapes, clothes, photos and other personal items from the past.

They were working in rather cold conditions with, of course, the strong smoke smell at all times, but they never complained. They went through probably thousands of items, big and small, and were extremely respective of out belongings.

Needless to say, I was very upset at seeing our things burned, wet or damaged by the smoke. It would have taken me weeks or even months to sort through everything, but they were able to complete the task in just a few days. I felt we were in very good hands with Delmy and her crew!"

"I am writing to inform you of the professional, hard working and dedicated staff you assigned to my home clean-up. We had flooding from Hurricane Irene and live on the Eastern Shore of MD. There was approximately 15 inches of water in our semi-finished basement. Our insurance company had suggested a company to us for restoration, so we called them. Unfortunately, they did not show up as promised, smoked on the job throwing cigarettes on our driveway, complained about how much work was involved in the job at our home, etc. After several attempts to get them to come back to our home, our insurance agent called South River Restoration.

What a delight to have your staff in our home! I never thought a disaster recovery team would be so professional, well mannered and punctual. Justin Gale was the field supervisor on site and was a complete professional from start to finish. He called every morning to let us know if and when they would be at our home, until the job was finished. He seems well beyond his years in professionalism and courtesy. I applaud you, South River Restoration, for hiring such a polite and hard working young man.

The team that came to our home was equally professional. Francis Iemus and Ryan Johnson were two of the hardest working employees I have ever seen. When the day was done, they did not stand around. They continued to clean up or remove debris until I finished talking with Justin. They were supposed to be leaving one day, then all of a sudden I see the two of them taking a very heavy sofa bed outside to the dumpster! Most teams would have gone to the van and waited for their supervisor. But not Francis and Ryan!

I commend South River Restoration, for the hiring of these professionals. They are hard working, polite, respectful and thorough. There was no trash or debris left behind. Every day, the job site was clean. After having a crew in your home for a couple of weeks, you would expect to have the site a bit messy, at least once in awhile. Not them! They were completely thorough.

"I want to take time to thank everyone at South River Restoration that responded to my crisis after hurricane Irene damaged my family's home. Neil Thompson was the project manager that was the first to respond to our residence. He was very concerned about our situation and handled it with confidence. Wally Brookman showed up at our home on Wednesday with two other team members to tarp up our house from the damage the trees did to the roof and garage. He took a lot of pride in his work. He and his crew did a very good job in doing what they did. My family was very pleased in their workmanship. Now we were just waiting for the mitigation crew to show up which we didn't expect to see until early the next week due to the workloads they already had. Eric Mwangi and his crew showed up Saturday morning and did a fantastic job removing the damaged drywall, carpet and other things that had to be removed due to the damage of the storm. They bagged everything up and put it on the curb out front. The equipment they brought was installed and everything was cleaned up. We felt so much better after they left. They did a fantastic job! Then on Labor day Warner Rodriquez and his crew showed up to remove the vanity from our bathroom and cleaned up after he left. They were quick and efficient. The trash was then picked up by another crew while Warner was here. Thank you so much South River Restoration for your quick response and great workmanship. I picked South River Restoration to do this work simply by seeing them daily getting ready to go to work from there office on Prince George's Blvd. The office for the company I work for is three doors down from them in the same complex, J&L Mavilia, Inc. mechanical contracting. "I wanted to commend you on the excellent team of professionals you have working for you. In particular, the crew headed by Mr. Justin Gale. I want to say, that your company was not my first choice as the mitigation company to come out and do the work on my mother’s house.

Since I have no expertise in dealing with water damage, I had to go to the internet for assistance. At the recommendation of someone else, we went with your company after I had already called another company out. I’m very glad we went with that recommendation. I’m sure the other company could have done an adequate job. But with Justin and his crew I got more than adequate. Justin got his crew over to my mom’s house as soon as he was called. As I said before, I nor my mother have been through this before. His advice was so very helpful. His manner and overall attention to the needs of the client (me) were outstanding. I would like to commend Justin Terry and South River Restoration for their fine job with this claim. On May 2nd we were the victims of a home invasion, wherein our son was severely beaten. There were massive amounts of blood throughout our home and fingerprint dust residue everywhere. It resembled the “Manson Murder” crime scene… it was quite ugly. Our insurance agent, quickly dispatched South River and Justin showed up… he worked diligently to get our house back in order (as best as possible) so that my eighty-six year old father could come back in the house after such a horrible experience the night before. I believe that Justin worked until around 9:00pm that evening to get the blood cleaned up and he came back the next day to finish.

We sincerely appreciate Justin’s kind words and extreme efforts of labor during our terrible time. There was no way that I could have brought my father, nor my husband who had just had major back surgery two days before, home. Justin’s professionalism and compassion were a great comfort to me. The house fire we had on Mother’s Day, May 8, was very devastating to us. As we were not home when the fire started, we did not know what to expect. One of the most horrible things to experience is to walk into your home and see it ruined by fire and smoke damage. My husband immediately contacted [our insurance company] and help came to us within 30 minutes.

You and your staff came the day after and just took over for us. While we were going through our belongings and crying, you were there to help us feel better. Everyone was very personable, helpful and very efficient. It was hard to not try and pack up belongings, but you assured us that every single item would be well documented, photographed and taken to your warehouse to be cleaned and then go through your ozone room. When you completed the job you presented us with a folder documenting every box with pictures, etc. This folder has been most helpful to us as we try to find various item, although with 500 boxes, it’s impossible to find anything in the storage unit.

We also had interaction with the processor and he was very empathetic to the emotional attachment of our contents and assured us that South River Restoration would do great restoration work.

On February 6, I had an awful experience at home when my pipes burst and flooded my entire finished basement. My husband was out of town and you can just about imagine how upset and devastated I was. It was horrible. Water was coming out of the ceiling downstairs and water, lots of it, was everywhere.

I called my insurance company at around 1:00pm, who in turn called South River Restoration, and I was told someone would be out within a few hours. True to their word, the crew arrived about 3:30pm. He assured me and reassured me again and again that they would handle the situation. I kept offering to help and he told me not to worry and that they would take care of everything. They worked tirelessly, non stop, until they left at about 9:30 that evening. I did order pizzas for them and I was glad to see them eat!

They handled my belongings as if they were their own and worked so hard until the job was done- pumping water out of the basement, moving furniture, setting up the fans and [de]humidifiers both upstairs in my kitchen and all throughout my basement. I was frantic and they were very reassuring. I really felt so much better by the time they left. [The field supervisor] was calm and in control which helped alleviate my fears and worry. My basement is still a mess and will be until the contractors finished repairing my ceiling and drywall.
